hi, girls!
New Year’s resolutions usually ask you to fix something.
This year, let's do something different. Instead of resolutions rooted in “fixing,” here’s a list rooted in understanding, comfort, and confidence — the kind your vagina actually benefits from.
Let’s get started!
- I will stop whispering about vaginal health. Vaginal health deserves real conversation. Silence keeps women confused, while conversation builds confidence.
- I will choose care over shame. Confidence starts with understanding. I have a lifelong relationship with my vagina and I will support it through every season of life.
- I will invest in everyday vaginal wellness. Such an important body part needs attention — not something to ignore until there’s a problem.
- I will treat intimate care like skincare. Gentle products. Clean ingredients. No harsh fragrance. If it wouldn’t go on my face, it doesn’t belong near my vulva.
- I will keep her pH balanced. Regular soaps, lotions, and shave products were never made for your most delicate skin. Gentle, pH-friendly external care enough.
- I will stop trying to “fix” my vagina. She’s not broken. Discharge, scent changes, and sensitivity aren’t failures — they’re communication. This year, I’m listening instead of panicking.
- I will retire the word “normal”. There is no single normal smell, color, texture, or rhythm. Normal is a range — and it’s far wider than we were ever taught.
- I will take discomfort seriously. Burning, itching, dryness, or pain isn’t something to power through. It’s information, not something to ignore — and answers exist. My comfort matters.
- I will stop blaming myself for hormonal shifts. Cycles, stress, postpartum changes, and menopause aren’t personal failures. My body isn’t inconsistent — it’s adaptive.
- I will respect my vaginal microbiome. Build balance, don’t strip it away. Fewer unnecessary disruptions, more thoughtful care.
- I will unsubscribe from unrealistic standards. Real bodies aren’t airbrushed, bleached, or frozen in one expression. My anatomy is not a makeover project.
-
I will always advocate for myself. If something feels off, I’ll ask again. If I’m dismissed by a medical provider, I’ll find another. My experience counts.
This year is about understanding your vagina without fear or shame — and caring for her with intention. Because confidence starts with understanding.
